Shin Yong-mok was born in Keochang, Kyeongsangnam-do in 1974. He made a literary debut when his poems, including ¡°Inside the Glass Door of an Alteration Shop at Seongnae-dong,¡± won the Chakgasegye (Writer¡¯s World) Best New Writer¡¯s Award in 2000. He published a poetry collection entitled I Have to Walk through All that Wind in 2004.
