Wang Anyi
Born in Nanjing, China in 1954, Wang Anyi moved to Shanghai in 1955. She began her career as a writer in 1976, and became a professional writer belonging to the Writers¡¯ Association of Shanghai in 1985. Currently the chairwoman of Writes¡¯ Association of Shanghai, she has received all the major literary awards in China. Her novels include Mini, The Song of Everlasting Sorrow, Recording Truth and Fiction, and Shanghai Bustling. She has also published collections of essays such as In Search of Shanghai, I Read, and Talking to Myself.
