Munkhtsetseg is the Director of The Union of Mongolian Writers. She published her first book in 1991 and her most recent book is Red are the Birds of Instinct (2009). In 2001, she released the CD, For You, which was an unprecedented event in the history of Mongolian literature. She founded the journal of spiritual knowledge Hurnast in 2003. Munkhtsetseg has also received the First Prize at the 2001 Crystal Goblet Festival, the 2008 Honored Cultural Worker Award from the Mongolian State, and the Order of the Polar Star State Award in 2009.
