Sharon Neeman was born in Philadelphia, PA, and is currently working as a poet, songwriter, composer, and translator. She lives in Herzliya, Israel. Her poem "Cherries from the War," dealing with the first Lebanon War in 1982, appeared in Lilith Magazine. Ms. Neeman, who translates into English from Hebrew, German, French and Italian, is a translator of books including New Heart, New Spirit by Arie Lova Eliav (Jewish Publication Society, Philadelphia), The Heirs of the Psalmist: Israel's Modern Music by Yehuda Walter Cohen (Am Oved, Tel Aviv), and The Palestine Conflict in the History of Modern Iraq by Michael Eppel (Frank Cass, London).
